Figure Skating Group Information
STARSkate: The STARSkate figure skating program progresses from Star 1 to 10. At Valleyview Skating Club, skaters are grouped according to Star level. Skaters will be instructed in a combination of group lessons, private and semi-private lessons, and independent practice. Group lessons, off ice classes, and harness training are included in your registration fees. Private and semi-private lessons are included in registration for Star 2, 3, and 4! This means no separate bills from coaches each month, everything is included upfront! Private/semiprivate lessons will continue to be billed separately by the coaches for Star 5 and up. Lessons will cover 3 disciplines of skating: Freeskate, Dance, and Skills.
Competitive: For skaters who show great dedication to the sport. Skaters may have the opportunity to switch to a competitive stream at about the Star 6 level.
Master: For experienced adult figure skaters. Skaters have the opportunity to compete in local, national and international competitions as well as upgrading skills. Private lessons available.
